During the autumn concert, the mixed choir Chapeau raised funds for scientific research at the Erasmus MC Cancer Institute into acute myeloid leukemia for the group of Dr Jurjen Versluis.
Each year, approximately 1,000 people in the Netherlands are diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia, an aggressive form of blood cancer. Jurjen Versluis and the people in his group aim to better predict how the disease develops and which patients will respond to treatments to better guide treatment decisions in these patients.
This contribution helps improve both survival and ultimately quality of life for patients diagnosed with AML.
