Successful 9th workshop on "Molecular aspects of normal and malignant hematopoiesis"

On June 8 & 9th, the 9^th workshop on “Molecular aspects of normal and malignant hematopoiesis” was held at KINO in Rotterdam. This workshop, organized by the Department of Hematology of the Erasmus MC, is intended for PhD students and postdocs from all hematology groups in Belgium and the Netherlands, so they can present their latest research and meet their colleagues.

An experienced keynote speaker was invited for each session. This year’s keynotes were:

• Teresa Bowman, Albert Einstein College of Medicine, New York City, U.S.A.
• Terry Fry, University of Colorado Anschutz, Aurora, U.S.A.
• Tom Cupedo, Erasmus MC, Rotterdam, The Netherlands

The workshop was attended by more than 160 researchers from 13 research groups. On Monday evening there was a joined dinner at Popocatepetl.
